Manuscripts

The textual genetics of each work can be discerned by means of his handwritten pages: an early manuscript, whose simple yet legible handwriting gets smaller over the years, is followed by a first typed copy in which the author made several corrections, many of them quite complex. This copy is followed by many others with more corrections until the final version is printed.

Aside from Camilo José Cela’s manuscripts, this collection also includes manuscripts by other famous Spanish authors such as Pío Baroja, Federico García Lorca, Vicente Aleixandre, Dámaso Alonso and Ramón Otero Pedrayo.
